The Alley Cats
Formed: Fall of 2002.Enjoy the popular leisure time activity, bowling! The Alley Cats are teens and Adults with disabilities,
who meet every Tuesday at the Northside lanes in North Augusta. Our season runs from September thru May. Beginners as well
as experienced bowlers are welcome. Fee $12.00 month, which includes 2 games, shoes, adaptive equipment and a banquet at the
end of the season.
The Crew Chorus
Formed: in 2011.
Perform musical selections in the community
under the direction of Selena Morgan, Music Therapist.
Those participating practice during the year while attending
the ART-ability Studio.
The Cruisers
Formed in fall of 2003, The Cruisers are teens and adults with disabilities, who meet once a month to enjoy the community
while socializing with their peers. They enjoy such activities as going to the movies, pizza & bingo, dances, a Lynx game,
a Green Jacket game, and much more.
Jazzercise with Lora Lee
Formed in March 2004, Lora Lee Kokovich will lead you through an aerobic routine choreographed to music for an upbeat workout.
Plus learn the steps, turns and combinations of your favorite line dances. We work out once a month at the Grace United Methodist
Church in North Augusta.
Joyful Harmony A fun and social experience for individuals along the Autism spectrum.
Musical activities set to fun musical games and activities that will develop
fine and gross motor skills, socialization, communication, and cognitive skills.
The T-RecS Programs
Formed in April 2004, the Tri-Recreational Sports (T-RecS) program gives individuals that are 6 years of age or older the opportunity
to play baseball, basketball, and cheerlead. Players participate at North Augusta Riverview Park on Saturdays during the spring and fall.
This program is structured for individual ability levels, to develop skills, and enjoy the sports.
The Miracle league
The RECing Crew's competitive Miracle League Team participates weekly in the Spring
with the Family Y of Greater Augusta's Miracle League. This baseball league is specifically designed for
children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities. Games are played on a rubberized surface field
that accommodates wheelchairs and other assistance devices. The Miracle League Field is located behind the
Uptown Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center on Wrightsboro Road. The RECing Crew Miracle League are coached
by Anne Comer, Pat Carpenter and Rob Kincaid.
